Dana and Mazie met in 2021, quickly started a family and began dreaming up a full life together. BoldRoot Builders is an extension of that dream.

Dana grew up in northern Vermont, indulging in the the landscape’s natural sports of snowboarding and climbing. He got his start in the trades at the age of 15, picking up trash for a roofing company. In his spare time, Dana’s designed and built two full disc golf courses in New England. He loves to go all in on a new project.

Mazie is an artist and outdoors enthusiast who loves to work with people. She got into murals and realism colored pencil art after hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2016. Having been a stay-at-home mom for the last few years, she’s pursuing both Interior Design and new art forms.

When Dana and Mazie aren’t working on their business, they can be found out on a hike with their kids, or cozied up at home (if they can resist starting another project).
